View Eaton fire damage mapGovernment inspectors have assessed all homes in the fire areas. On each home, you’ll see a photo and an icon with one of these statuses:
- No damage
- Affected
- Minor damage
- Major damage
- Destroyed
- Inaccessible (inspectors couldn’t access the property to check for damage)
If your home was damaged, save a copy of the photo from the damage map. You may be able to use it when you file an insurance claim.

- Get a written contract.
- Your contractor can guide you through the construction process.
Apply for permits
- You can submit your plans and apply for building permits now. You don’t need to wait until debris removal is complete.
- You can also apply to put temporary housing on your property. But you’ll need to wait until debris removal is complete.
