Description
This service allows you to submit health certificates for dogs that are being brought into the state for sale, adoption, or any change of ownership. Starting January 1, 2026, veterinarians must send these certificates electronically to both the state and the buyer within 10 days before the dog enters California. If a dog is simply traveling with its owner or visiting temporarily, no CVI needs to be submitted.
