TITLE:  Extension of Authorization to Activate the California National Guard

PURPOSE:  Extends Governor’s General Order Number 2018-01, calling into active service under section 502(f) of Title 32 of the United States Code those forces necessary to meet certain requests for assistance made by the Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security and to support federal efforts to counter transnational criminal threats, consistent with the terms and conditions identified in the original order.

AUTHORITY: California Military and Veterans Code and Title 32 of the United States Code.

APPLICABILITY: This order shall apply to all members of the California National Guard called by The Adjutant General in support of this mission.

TO: The Adjutant General, State of California

I issue the following General Order under sections 146 and 365 of the California Military and Veterans Code and in accordance with article V, section 7 of the California Constitution as the Commander in Chief of the California National Guard.

General Order Number 2018-01, issued April 18, 2018, is hereby extended from September 30, 2018 to March 31, 2019, under the same terms and conditions.

This order will remain in effect until March 31, 2019 unless modified or rescinded in writing.
