Excessive heat warning for most of California

Per the National Weather Service (NWS):

  • Dangerous Heat expected Saturday through Friday over much of Central Valley and Southern California.
  • Thunderstorms possible for the Sierra Nevada Mountains on Saturday through Tuesday.
  • Heat of this magnitude will have impacts for even the general population if precautions are not taken.

Because of this, the California Office of Emergency Services has activated Phase II of their from Saturday, 06/17/17 through Wednesday, 06/21/17.

Under the state’s Unclaimed Property Law, holders such as financial institutions, corporations, business associations, and insurance companies report and submit unclaimed property (e.g., bank accounts, stocks, bonds, uncashed checks, and safe deposit box contents) to the State Controller’s Office when there has been no activity on an account for three years.
