Excessive heat warning for most of California
Per the National Weather Service (NWS):
- Dangerous Heat expected Saturday through Friday over much of Central Valley and Southern California.
- Thunderstorms possible for the Sierra Nevada Mountains on Saturday through Tuesday.
- Heat of this magnitude will have impacts for even the general population if precautions are not taken.
Because of this, the California Office of Emergency Services has activated Phase II of their from Saturday, 06/17/17 through Wednesday, 06/21/17.
