Media Application Open for Governor’s Trade and Investment Mission to Mexico

Credentialed Reporters Must Submit Application by June 6

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.’s Press Office today issued the following information regarding media coverage of the Governor’s upcoming Mexico Trade and Investment Mission:

Date and Location: The Governor’s Mexico Trade and Investment Mission will begin on July 27, 2014 and conclude on July 30, 2014. All events and meetings will take place in Mexico City, Mexico.

Credential Required: Press coverage of the Governor’s Mexico Trade and Investment Mission will be limited to credentialed media only.

Mandatory Application: Credentialed media interested in covering the Governor’s Mexico Trade and Investment Mission must complete and submit the following application: https://www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/MediaApplication_MEXTradeMission.pdf

Application Submission and Deadline: Completed applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 6, 2014 to GovPressOffice@gov.ca.gov. Submission of an application is not a guarantee of a spot on the trip. Reporters will be notified when application decisions have been made.

Costs: Approved applicants will be provided hotel accommodation, ground transportation, meals and access to delegation and government-to-government events at a set fee. The fee is exclusive of air travel and any incidentals. Additional information regarding the cost of the trip is included with the application.

Governor Brown will be joined by a diverse delegation of California government, business, economic development, investment and policy leaders on the Mexico Trade and Investment Mission, which is being organized by the California Chamber of Commerce. The trip will focus on boosting direct investment in the state, expanding bilateral economic and environmental cooperation and connecting California businesses with new opportunities and partnerships.
