Governor Brown Appoints Gary G. Gibson to Shasta County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Gary G. Gibson to a judgeship in the Shasta County Superior Court.

Gibson, 55, of Redding, has served as a court commissioner for the Shasta County Superior Court since 2006. From 1991 to 2006, Gibson was a partner at the Law Offices of Manuel and Gibson. Gibson was a partner and previously an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Simpson and Maire from 1984 to 1991 and an associate attorney at Halkides and Morgan from 1982 to 1984. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Gonzaga University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Wilson Curle. Gibson is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
