LOS ANGELES – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will participate in the Milken Institute’s State of the State Conference and will swear in the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 13.

Governor Brown will join Michael Milken for a one-on-one discussion at the Milken Institute’s 13th Annual State of the State Conference. The conversation will focus on the pressing issues facing California and the steps the Brown Administration is taking to create jobs, balance the budget and restore California’s competitive edge.

Swearing In Secretary of Veterans Affairs
Governor Brown will swear in Peter Gravett as the Secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs. The Governor appointed retired Major General Gravett in May; he was subsequently confirmed by the California State Senate in September.
